With Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=640339178) and the rest, there is almost no point in having a personal website anymore. Nevertheless, I just got the domain name renewed (it was out of action for more than a month), so this will be up for a while...

I wanted to send the site to some friends, and I thought of checking first... good thing I did, because for some reason, my account had been deleted, and the URL was leading to a weird wrestling site - LOL! Anyway, in case you had the same "experience", don't worry, I don't have a new hobby.
Real news now. I'm out of the army, and back in intriguing Thessaloniki, trying to be(come) a research team leader, in bioinformatics of course - more on that soon. All I can say is that these are exciting times, and I'm enjoying myself a lot - but it could just be the energy I have stored from doing nothing too productive for more than a year (in the army).

Where do I start... in almost one and a half years everything has changed. I'm currently in Athens, serving my country with the Hellenic Air Force. Another six months left, time flies.
I've made the site darker in colour, only because I prefer it like that for my eyes - plus you save energy through your screen doing less work ;-)
Check out some new pics from my dogs, and info on an online F1 Championship I co-organise (along with my friend Lefteris Axiotis) and participate in. There's less of almost everything else, since I cut out a lot of stuff.

The domain name doesn't really work, OTEnet are playing up...
It also looks that I'll be moving back to Greece sooner rather than later. Finally, it's been almost 9 years up here in the U.K. :-)

Although still hosted at the EBI, soon this brand new website will be under www.nikosdarzentas.gr :-) Bought the domain name yesterday, today I setup URL forwarding.
